Hello Again!
It has been a while since our last update!
We have celebrated several birthdays over the new year / since our last update 🥳:
Raizu x Lumi: The Arctic Litter on the 8th of November.
Arctos and Yoshi (Lux).
Kiita x Gryffindor: The Bear Litter (Leapday kiddoes) on the 29th of February (many celebrated on the 28th or 1st).
Blitzen (Panda), Maverick (Grylls), Ariana (Winnipeg), Lumi (Sunny), Kalsar (Kenai) and Kuma (Tardigrade).
Yoshi x Ukko: The Dancing Litter on the 4th of March.
Ubba (Freyr), Bruno (Hod), Skadi and Loki
And finally, the Element kiddoes are coming up to their birthday on the 27th of May!
George (Ignis), Reign (Aqua), Finnigan (Terra) and Maisie (Aer).
Otherwise:
We bounced over to America and retrieved our co-owned import boy, Kailo (born in Norway)
We attended the 11th FLCV specialty in Victoria with some pretty fabulous results with the small crew we took; Katara and Kailo were 2nd in their class with excellent ratings, while Demo took it home with Runner Up Neuter in Show amongst a very competitive neuter class
Kailo stayed on an extended show holiday with us, gaining a total of 93 points towards his Australian Championship and winning a prestigious Runner Up Best of Breed at Sydney Royal before heading home
Katara/Nugget achieved her Australian Championship in a couple of short months of showing
Demo achieved his Neuter Championship and retired at the grand age of almost 15 (he turns 15 in July )
Ghost gained a number of points towards her Australian Championship, which we will continue after her motherly duties
Kiita gained a number of points towards her Neuter Championship, which she will hopefully complete in the next few months
We moved home with a lot more space for our puppers, and as such our plans for breeding this year have also changed since we now have the time and space.
We also have some special kids on the way this year:
Due 10th of May, we are expecting black and tans and/or recessive black puppies from this litter, between the lovely Ghost and our Norwegian import Kailo (Am Ch Am GCh Alnopa Ukonvasara (IMP USA)). We have an x-ray on the 5th to see numbers!
We are taking expressions of interest for these cuties and expect there should be availability at this stage.
We are also planning a litter with the lovely Lumi from the Call Girls litter, and Swedish import Oscar:
We are currently waiting for Lumi to come into season. These puppies should be born some time after the Mystery kids leave. All puppies are expected to be black based wolf sable in colour.
Later in the year after our litters, we will be:
Attending the 12th FLCV specialty in Melbourne
Picking up our Finnish import Deja Vu from America, and she will hit the show ring here!
Hopefully showing a keeper puppy from one or both of our litters
Getting back into dog sports again! It's been too long. Katara has a sprint dog quallie and loved it, which is a great start! But the youngins' I'm sure would enjoy more training in a variety of sports like our oldies have done.
