Call Litter

On the morning of the 1st of July, 2021, we welcomed the Call Litter to Tundrai Finnish Lapphunds!

This is Kiita's final litter.

Kiita did us a bit of a bamboozle over the start of the week with some false signs and left me pretty sleep deprived, but with a checkup that all was well, we waited till the early hours of this morning for the Call litter to arrive.

From 6.15am on the 1st of July, over the course of two and a half hours she happily and quickly whelped 8 baby girls. Sadly one girl was born not breathing and we weren't able to get her going. Another was a tiny little girl, much smaller than we're used to. Sadly although we fought hard for her for the first two days, she also did not make it. I had joked with Kiita that I wanted seven girls, and my goodness did she deliver!

We have six gorgeous little girls, 4 wolf sable and 2 black and tan.

Thank you so much to Roslyn and Col Seare from Theldaroy for allowing me to use their handsome Swedish import Zutki for this litter, who was the perfect gentleman for his stay with us for the mating. He has a lovely calm, soft and stable temperament. This litter has me hoping to combine some of my favourite lines and allow me many more options for the future, while aiming for healthy, sweet and sound little babies.

Kiita is my sweetest of sweethearts. She meets you with a plea for a belly rub and just adores human attention. She is the most biddable lappie I have met to date, and without much training had a solid recall from a very young age. She enjoys learning a mirage of sports, her favourite being flyball, closely followed by agility and tracking, however she also dabbles (and does very well in) herding, obedience and lure coursing. She is a smaller girl, but strongly built with great proportions & angles, easy and lovely movement and a sweet feminine head and expression. 

My girls Brianna and Cassie along with Mitchell have been just amazing and supported us through the entirety of this litter, and especially made all the difference this morning readily assisting with whelping, food, puppy care and more while I got some much needed naps in. I can't thank you guys enough.
